The Titus Special Education Advocacy Group is committed to empowering the families, parents, and guardians of children with special needs by providing comprehensive education and resources. Our mission is to close the knowledge gaps and establish robust support networks throughout their lives, extending our focus beyond early childhood to meet the evolving needs at every stage of life.

Focusing on financial support mechanisms, understanding neuropsychological evaluations, navigating medical care, and more.

Transitioning to Adulthood

Guidance on guardianship, vocational training, functional life skills, activities of daily living, legal assistance for tuition reimbursement, and facilitating employment opportunities for neurodivergent individuals.

Support Systems

Providing psychiatric evaluations, medication support, parent support groups, and information on assistive technology to enhance daily living and learning.

Legal & Financial Assistance

Offering legal support for navigating educational rights and financial assistance, including exploring options for free bridge loans for tuition.

Powered by Passion

The Titus School was founded by Natalie Brandefine and Tomiko Lyons in 2017. Tomi and Natalie met in 2015 while working at a 1:1 Therapeutic Program in Manhattan. Armed with a passion for education, behavior, and innovation Tomi and Natalie set out to to provide high quality services to children and families with the experience and the support of a school and community.

In 2024, building on our commitment to serve and advocate for those with special needs, we are proudly launching the Titus Advocacy Group, expanding our impact beyond the classroom and into the heart of the community.
